The utter joy you can experience in the peace and stillness of life at Antony Woodland Garden doesn't just come from the stunning Spring camellias and magnolias.
Visits from deer, woodpeckers, long-tailed tits and so many more indicate what a special home the woodland garden is to the surrounding wildlife. Wild bird life also feeds on the rich mud flats of the Lynher River and throughout the year, oystercatchers, grey herons, egrets, cormorants and shelducks can be seen. Kingfishers at the Bath House pond, dart across the surface of the water whilst mullet swim beneath. Buzzards and kestrels are commonly seen hovering overhead.
Modern sculptures from celebrated international artists are secreted away amongst the National Collection of Camellia japonica, Magnolias, Rhododendrons, Azaleas, and Hydrangeas all of which in their season are a wonder to behold. Unspoiled woodland sweeps down to the Lynher estuary where you can discover secluded coves and picnic with stunning views across the water, providing a tranquil and relaxing corner of South East Cornwall.
It will allow the giftee to enjoy all the beauty of the garden between 15th February to 31st October 2023 and the Woodland Walk throughout the year.
