About this event:
The 100-acre Antony Woodland Garden is one of the most beautiful, and least known about, gardens in Cornwall. Just a ferry ride away from Plymouth it is a haven of serenity and peace, and the perfect place for a pleasant walk, a picnic, for children to explore and also for plantsmen (and women) to enjoy the magnificent variety of plants. It has the most stunning array of magnolias, beautiful walks along the river’s edge, contemporary sculpture and carpets of wild flowers, waiting for you to discover!

AWG is an “International Camellia Garden of Excellence”, one of only four in this country, and holds the National Collection of Camellia japonica. There is also a wonderful collection of nearly two hundred and fifty different types of magnolias and a good many other ornamental woody plants including hydrangeas and rhododendrons.

As part of the National Garden Scheme, the Open Days are the perfect opportunity to come and explore the pathways and vistas for the first time or rediscover an old favourite spot.

Whilst the tearoom will be serving delicious variety of food to eat in the cottage or tearoom garden, there is plenty of outside space to take it away and enjoy or you are welcome to bring your own picnic.  Well behaved dogs are welcome on the Woodland Walk only. Well behaved adults are welcome in the Garden and the Woodland Walk!
